Snow White

The snow has fallen over the barren lands.

Blocking all hopes of making it through.

Walking over to the blackened ash covered fire place

Embers flying through the stinging air like fireflies

I thrust the brand into the hot coals

Looking at her face as I stroll over, terrified, exhausted

Knowing

She knows

But as she struggles it’s too late

Once, twice

Over her porcelain veneer

She breaks, and blisters

Shrieking in pain

And she knows there isn’t a thing she can do.
